Guide to Railway Charges for Crossing Maintenance and Construction

Description: This Guide to Railways Charges for Crossing Maintenance and Construction, formerly known as “Schedule A Directives”, is effective as of July 1, 2008. It provides a third-party assessment of rail costs. This guide may be used by Canadian federally-regulated railways when charging for work performed at crossings, crossing warning systems, or for any other crossing-related work either agreed to by the parties or authorized by an order of the Agency. The rates contained in that document are developed from Class I railway accounting data and might not be suitable for regional and shortline railways
