Daniel James Shewchuk

Daniel James Shewchuk was General Chairman for TCRC West representing members at Canadian National Railways, VIA Rail, BNSF, Mackenzie Northern Railway, Hudson Bay Railway, Carlton Trail Railway and Kelowna Pacific Railway.

Brother Shewchuk began his railway career in 1970 being promoted to a locomotive engineer in 1975 at the terminal of Vancouver, B.C. He began his work with the BLE-TCRC as the Local Chairman of Division 945, Vancouver, BC in 1986 and was elected to a 4th consecutive term. During that period, he also served three terms as Vice General Chairman and in January of 1997 was promoted to Senior Vice General Chairman. 

Brother Shewchuk was elected to a second term as Senior Vice General Chairman prior to being elected as General Chairman in 2001.

Brother Shewchuk is serving the interests of TCRC members throughout Canada and continues to be a proud member of Division 945.
